Xfuel energy boards the Fenix Down bandwagon

Howie did a really good thing, he went to the expo in Philly which by most accounts wasn't very good at all. We had tons of people telling us to have a booth there and like Howie said to me , "you would have put a gun to your head it was empty!"

He did a great find there with Fenix Down, below is the press release as we worked out the details to our deal now but basically these guys own a 10,000 sq ft studio in NY. they do everything from audio to video to green screen or is that blue screen - who cares it's a friggin screen of some type!

Anyway we very happy to partner with them and we are going to be doing some cool things, look for us on TV soon with this new concept - thanks again, listen to their music, very cool band, great people - you'll love it!

Xfuel energy boards the Fenix Down bandwagon

Xfuel has grabbed hold of video game music sensation Fenix Down to become the official sound of the Energy Shot Company. Howard Panes was introduced to the band at this year’s Games X Convention in Philadelphia. Panes was quick to point out, “I realized right away these were the guys we needed. Xfuel needed a sound, a personality, and Fenix Down is able to give us that, and they’re gamers as well!”

Fenix Down (found at www.fenixdown.com) was founded by Tony Hanson and has been playing together since 2004. The band is noted for creating songs that are powerful, emotional and driving, as well as being influenced by Final Fantasy and other video game music. Fenix Down has brought something innovative to today’s music with their first single, “I’m Ready”- a winner of the Fuse TV Video Contest- their song “Fallen”- used for GameX- as well as their song “Heroes & Villains”- picked up by FOX NFL, all a tribute to the band’s climbing popularity. When asked about the project Tony Hanson replied, “We are excited to be working with Xfuel. It’s so great to see more and more things made for gamers out there. We hope to add a musical impact to everything going on!”

When asked about the collaboration, Alex Gere noted, “This is a good fit for us, we plan on having Fenix Down traveling with us to some of our events in 2010, and it will add another dimension to our Guitar Hero Challenge show. We are going to bring our show to The Next Level, by having the band there LIVE and converting some of their music to play in the game – no one, I mean no one is doing anything close, playing a Guitar Hero type game alongside the live band.” There was off the record mention of collaboration with some Music TV programs as well, and Alex ended the interview with his usual, “At Xfuel, we do it first and better than anyone.”
